This individual will play a vital role in supporting the artistic and cultural programs of CALA Alliance in partnership with the Executive Director. The Program Coordinator will be responsible for assisting in the planning, coordination, and execution of various arts-related projects and initiatives to advance CALA’s mission and vision.
Overall, this individual will be an excellent communicator with attention-to-detail, who has a passion for arts and culture, is a great team player, and has the ability to learn and grow in this role.
The Responsibilities of the Program Coordinator:

● Coordinates the planning of art exhibitions, performances, workshops, and cultural events with a particular focus on diversity, equity, inclusion and creating cultures of belonging.
● Communicates and collaborates with community partners to develop and enhance arts programs throughout the Valley.
● Maintains positive working relationships with key stakeholders, including artists, the Board of Directors, university partners, funders, government agencies, etc.
● Provide regular updates and data for program evaluation to inform program design, standards of quality, and strategies for improvement.
● Schedules segmented communications to donors/prospects to complement current fundraising objectives, achieve donor engagement goals and build donor loyalty and retention.
● Assists in managing budgets for arts programming and events including tracking expenses and revenue.
● Collaborates with the communication team.
● Supports the Executive Director as needed.
Required Skills/Abilities:
● Passion for the arts and culture, particularly within the LatinX community.
● Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
● Ability to work independently and closely with a small team including staff,
artists, arts professionals, contractors and the public .
● Proficiency in Microsoft Office and web-based platforms.
● Fluency in English and familiarity with Spanish.
● Availability to work some weekend and evening hours due to events.
Applicants will strengthen their qualifications with:
● Experience in Adobe Creative Suite or Canva.
● Bilingual in English and Spanish.
● Experience with academic research.
● Problem-solving skills.
● Program or project management experience including establishing priorities, coordinating multiple projects simultaneously, and meeting deadlines.
● Ability to interact appropriately with a wide variety of personality types.
Position Details:
● This position is part-time, up to 25 hours per week. The schedule is flexible and can be determined with the Executive Director.
● This position is hourly, with a rate of pay between $20.00-$22.00 per hour depending on experience and qualifications.
● CALA Alliance is a hybrid working environment and work can be done remotely and in-office.
● The CALA Alliance office is located at The Garfield Galleria, 316 W. McDowell Rd #203, Phoenix, AZ 85003.
● This position is not eligible for benefits, however Arizona Paid Sick Time will be provided.
