Scottsdale Public Art is accepting qualifications from artists for a mural opportunity in Scottsdale, Arizona, on the facade of the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art (SMoCA) facing 2nd St, west of Drinkwater Blvd. The mural will span 18 feet high by 20 feet wide and will remain on view for one year. The theme of the artwork is open but should align with Scottsdale Public Art’s goals of promoting a strong sense of place and a unique identity for Scottsdale through a strong, vital regional artist community. The artist budget for this project is $11,000.00 and is all-inclusive, including materials cost, lift rental (if applicable), transportation, insurance, and artist compensation. Painting of the mural is to begin mid February 2025, with completion slated for February 28, 2025.
