What is SmART Integration?
SmART Integration is a classroom-based, curriculum-focused residency program that targets learning academic standards through the arts. Hands-on experiences allow students to creatively explore their world, collaboratively ideate, and imagine solutions to current and future problems. The results are enduring understanding and increased student engagement.
Each residency is an independently contracted service. Residencies are typically formatted five days (one week), one hour per day, per class. The number of classrooms served will vary by school. Residency service dates can be flexible based on the availability of the teaching artist and classroom teacher(s). The teaching artist should be prepared to provide a structured lesson plan for each date of service.
