eCommerce and Inventory Specialist | Taliesin West

A key member of the Retail Operations team, the eCommerce and Inventory Specialist is responsible for eCommerce execution and inventory management at the Frank Lloyd Wright Store, located at Taliesin West in Scottsdale, AZ. Working closely with the Store Manager and Director of Retail, the eCommerce and Inventory Specialist administers the Frank Lloyd Wright Store’s online operation including product selection/set-up, purchase order/invoice management, order fulfillment and response/resolution of online customer communication. This position supports the shipping and receiving procedures to ensure inventory flows smoothly and accurately in both the physical store and eCommerce site.

Essential Functions:
-Manages on-line shopping portal so that it reflects real-time inventories and product availability
– Manages website’s product catalogs as needed with new/featured products
– Updates website’s look to improve user experience, and proposes ideas to increase sales
– Collaborates with Marketing and Licensing teams to assure on-line presentation, including product photos and descriptions, are accurate and up to Foundation standards
– Assists with print, virtual and Social Media marketing initiatives
– Processes daily receiving of product, accurately recording within POS software, confirming quantities, and approving invoices for payment
– Places product orders to assure store is fully stocked with seasonally appropriate merchandise
– Knowledgeable about shipping procedures to fill in-store and on-line purchases
– Works closely with sales team to track damages and missing product so inventory tracking reflects updated quantities; works closely with vendor representatives to negotiate appropriate remedies for shortages and damages
– Crossed trained in sales floor operations with operational responsibility to open & close the Store, assist with break & lunch coverage and fulfill salesfloor shifts as required.

Minimum Qualifications:
– Associate degree and two years of work experience within a retail or e-commerce setting, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
– Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task
– Knowledge of Shopify (or similar e-commerce platforms), online stores, and retail point-of-sale systems
– Knowledge and experience with using MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Power Point, and Word)
– Self-starter and a problem solver who can work with minimum supervision
– Comfortable working with a team as well as independently as job duties dictate
– Customer oriented with good interpersonal skills – customer service skills preferred
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills
– Capable of working a consistent schedule, and ability to lift up to 30 lbs. with physical stamina

This position is a full-time hourly position with a target rate of $20/hour, plus comprehensive benefits including a paid-time-off package.
